The London Marathon and Tusk

Tusk looks forward to watching another strong team cross the finish line in the London Marathon 2021 on Sunday 3rd October.

Grant Macdonald stands with all those running the London Marathon on Sunday 3rd October 2021 - and our support goes out in particular to Team Tusk.

Every year, several members of Tusk’s team conquer the Marathon, running 26 miles along with over 40,000 others. In 2019, the event raised a record-breaking £63.7 million for charity, including over £80,000 raised by Tusk’s team of 33 runners. Last year, the Marathon was unable to go ahead due to the pandemic, so this year, Tusk are going bigger and better to make up for it.

The race usually takes place in April, but was postponed to October this year to ensure the possibility of a mass participation event. The London Marathon is the second of the five World Marathon Majors held this year, which will all be run in the space of six weeks between the end of September and early November.

With 100,000 runners taking part, some at home, some along the famous London route, Tusk are inviting everybody to come and join the team to be part of the record-breaking event. The 2021 race will return to the traditional London Marathon course, a 42.195km run starting in Blackheath, crossing Tower Bridge and heading east into Canary Wharf before entering the underpass in Blackfriars and running along the Thames Embankment, past Westminster, parallel to St James’ Park before finishing in front of Buckingham Palace.
