Random Acts of Kindness Day

“Remember there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.” Scott Adams

We’re approaching Random Acts of Kindness Day, which promotes the use of small and intentional actions that accumulate to make the world a nicer place in which to live. Whether you’re leaving a positive review for a local business or sending a ‘How are you?’ text to a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while, the intent of Random Acts of Kindness Day is to find little ways to be kind to the people around you.

At the Grant Macdonald Workshop, we do our best to practise kindness every day - and we’ve brought that ethos into our work by collaborating with the charity TUSK in order to amplify conservation initiatives across Africa.

We chose TUSK because their reputation for progressive efficiency aligns with our own - whilst we blend cutting edge technology with traditional silversmithing techniques, TUSK builds connections between the most effective local organisations and invests in their in-depth knowledge and expertise.

Poaching and habitat loss have a huge and devastating impact on the wildlife throughout Africa - so finding sustainable solutions to ensure critical habitats and endangered species are protected is crucial work that must happen quickly. Currently, TUSK is supporting over 50 projects in 20 countries, and we’re extremely proud to be aligned with their mission.

If you’re looking for an act of kindness that will look handsome in your home for years to come, take a look through our archive of incredible silver pieces that have been created in collaboration with TUSK.

Our collection of breathtaking TUSK animals are rendered in sterling silver with hand-crafted detailing designed to bring these unique masterpieces to life wherever the light catches them. Each animal is inspired by an endangered species that TUSK is working to support, from Ugandan giraffes to the lions of Okavango Delta

If an objet d’art for your mantelpiece isn’t what you’re after, you’ll find a great deal of use in our TUSK collection of cufflinks, also inspired by uniquely beautiful animals at risk of poaching and habitat destruction. Alternatively, consider our letter-openers capturing the deadly beauty of the extremely endangered South African Albany Viper.

Celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day this year with a donation to TUSK
20% from the sale of each piece from our TUSK collection will be donated to support vitally important conservation work in Africa.
