Grant Macdonald x Rosamond Lloyd: Silver Rhino Sculpture for Tusk Trust

On March 26th 2025, an evening at Goldsmiths Hall London marked the announcement of a remarkable collaboration between Grant Macdonald London and renowned wildlife sculptor Rosamond Lloyd, hosted by a charity we’re extremely proud to support: Tusk Trust.

This exclusive event offered guests a private preview of the exquisite "Study of a Rhino and Calf," a limited-edition sterling silver sculpture meticulously crafted to celebrate British artistry and raise vital awareness and funds for wildlife conservation.

Priced at £24,000, this unique sculpture epitomises the exceptional standards and heritage synonymous with the celebrated London workshop. Limited to just ten pieces, each this first sculpture proudly bears the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Commemorative hallmark—a mark of authenticity and excellence reflecting Grant Macdonald’s unparalleled craftsmanship and prestigious status as a Royal Warrant holder. Mounted on American walnut, this piece embodies a seamless blend of elegance, heritage, and sustainable materials.

Highlighting the significance of this collaboration, Charles Mayhew OBE, Founder & President of Tusk, commented: “Having benefited from the generous support of Rosamond Lloyd and Grant Macdonald for a number of years we are absolutely thrilled that they have come together on this collaboration to create this magnificent silver rhino to be sold in support of Tusk’s rhino conservation programme. The rhino remains critically endangered in many parts of Africa and Tusk has been at the forefront of protecting the species for over three decades. We are enormously grateful to Rosamond Lloyd and Grant Macdonald for supporting Tusk in this way.”

Rosamond Lloyd, celebrated for her lifelike and emotive representations of wildlife, brings her profound dedication to nature into every detail of the "Study of a Rhino and Calf”, making the most of our master craftsmen’s signature approach to silversmithing, combining traditional handcrafting methods with cutting-edge 3D printing technologies in order to deliver a piece of extraordinary precision.

Guests in attendance were able to get up close and personal with the artistry and care our craftsmen have invested in each sculpture, and the event ignited meaningful conversations around sustainability, heritage, and the importance of safeguarding endangered species. The evening itself was a testament to the influential role that thoughtful, purpose-driven craftsmanship can play in driving positive global change.

Collectors and patrons interested in supporting this noble cause - and acquiring a unique testament to British craftsmanship - are now invited to reserve one of these exclusive sculptures. Each purchase contributes directly to Tusk Trust’s vital conservation efforts, ensuring the protection of vulnerable species for future generations.
