For Christmas: Miniature Tusk

“Christmas is the season of joy, of gift-giving, and of families united.” Norman Vincent Peale

Finding a loved one something special to wrap and place beneath the Christmas tree is an artform - hunting down the item that will mean the most to them, wrapping it beautifully and keeping it secret until the day comes for them to discover what you’ve found. At Grant Macdonald London, we pride ourselves on creating pieces that are just as special as the ones you love - and this year, we have something we’re particularly proud to share.

Our craftsmen have spent years perfecting the art of transforming endangered animals into silver, capturing every detail through fine chasing that truly brings each masterpiece to life as light catches them. This year, they’ve outdone themselves - each of our TUSK animals has been rendered in miniature - without compromising on any of the breathtaking detail. Just like their larger cousins, proceeds from the sale of each TUSK miniature will be donated to support the vitally important conservation work that TUSK do, ensuring the majestic endangered animals who inspire each piece are able to live and thrive in safe, protected environments.

Luangwa Miniature Lion for TUSK

“Lions across the world are under threat from poaching. We have named our lion after South Luangwa in Zambia which faces widespread poaching of big game, funding from Tusk helps Conservation South Luangwa to increase its anti-poaching and animal trafficking prevention. Support is needed to continue this vital work and to protect this wildlife rich wilderness.”

Kunene Miniature Rhino for TUSK

“Rhinos across the world are under threat from poaching, Tusk initiatives are working hard to create secure areas for these amazing animals to live.  We have named our rhino after the Kunene area in Namibia which is home to a long running black rhino project. This critical black rhino population which has been steadily recovering since the 1980s, is now facing a renewed threat from poaching. Tusk helps the Save the Rhino Trust with their anti-poaching work to keep these precious animals safe.”

Chyulu Miniature Elephant for TUSK

“Elephants across the world are under threat from poaching. We have named our elephant after the Chyulu Hills in Kenya where the largest population of elephants in East Africa is under constant threat of ivory poaching.  Tusk helps the Big Life Foundation to conduct monitoring and anti-poaching which has led to a dramatic decline in poaching since 2010.  More support is needed for this crucial project to reach all areas of the huge habitat it is protecting.”

Gourma Miniature Elephant for TUSK

“Elephants across the world are under threat from poaching.  We have named this elephant Gourma after an area in Mali where a unique population of 550 sub-desert elephants live. In 2017 it was estimated that if poaching was not reduced the entire population would be wiped out by 2021.  Tusk supports the Mali Elephant Project which brings the community together and has trained and mobilised an anti-poaching unit to protect the migration route of these animals.  This work must continue in order to keep this fragile elephant population safe.”
